KINGDOMS OF THE WORLD RELIGIONS (The Abomination of Desolation)

CHRIST IS NOT THE HEAD OF THE CHRISTIANS

Christ is not the head of Christianity. He is not a Christian! Neither is he the head of the various kingdoms of the world religions.

“Christianity” is nowhere in the Scriptures. What can be found is the word “Christians”. But Christ was not a Christian! Neither were the apostles, nor the disciples, nor the multitude of believers that turned to Christ from the teachings of the apostles. None of them were Christians!

The word “Christian” came out much later after Christ had resurrected. Therefore, Christ never called his followers Christians; he referred to them as disciples or apostles. Neither did his followers call themselves Christians. They were not known by any name. They already belonged to Christ because the spirit of Christ lived in them, so, they didn’t need any more name. It was the Jews that did not belong to their assembly that needed to come up with a name to spite and belittle them, for the disciples were a peculiar group whose faith and beliefs were considered heretical by the Jews.

CHRIST KNOWS HIS DISCIPLES BY WHAT THEY DO, NOT BY WHAT THEY ARE BRANDED OR LABELED WITH

What’s the difference between a Christian and a disciple? A Christian is one who belongs to his religion. The word “Christian” is like a product brand that has adapted effectively to please the world in accord with its desires, by successfully creating different religions as products that satisfy differing market demands, depending on what tickles the ears of their so-called believers. Like all other brands, it does not reveal what the product is made of. On the other hand, a true follower of Christ is a disciple, and the word itself reveals much of what the follower is made of. As a disciple he is a follower who, because of his faith in the will of his Lord, enters into a covenant to follow him. As a result of that faith, God anoints, marks, or seals him with the holy spirit to empower him to do the will of God. That is, to go on walking as Christ walked, to continue suffering as Christ suffered, and to keep on bearing his yoke, as Christ bore his. Thus, you can be sure, Christ shall know his disciple by what he does, not by what he is branded or labeled with.

WHILE A CHRISTIAN BELONGS TO HIS RELIGION, A DISCIPLE BELONGS TO CHRIST

Christ indeed is the head of the assembly, not of Christians, but of his apostles, his prophets, his disciples, and his servants of the household of God. This is the assembly that is his body, that is his bride. Members of this assembly shall come from the east to the west, that is, from the beginning of this world order, to its end. They are no longer part of the world, for Christ has taken them out of it. They are foreigners, temporary residents of the earth, living peaceably, but not being fashioned after the world in its desires, and in its views on how the world relates, or worships God. They do not belong to any religion, yet, to Christ alone they belong.

If this is how you follow Christ, you are not a Christian like his early followers were, you are a disciple of Christ.

Let the lost sheep of Christ listen and take heed.
